Ed Wood’s Plan 9 From Outer Space is considered one of the worst films ever made. With that said, it is not only Wood’s best effort but a film that has allowed him to become a cult icon. The film follows an airplane pilot who sees a UFO while in flight and is told to keep silent about it by the government. Realizing that these UFO’s are in fact real, the government takes action and attacks these space crafts. The aliens grow nervous and decide to take action in the form of “Plan 9″ which involves bringing the dead back to life. When police go to investigate unusual activities in a cemetery they are confronted by reanimated corpses and an alien space craft. The police officers and the pilot who conveniently lives near the cemetery, board the space craft to confront the aliens on their plan.

Now I’m not going to ruin the ending for you because even those this film has plenty of mistakes and is of relatively low quality, the camp value is priceless. I know this plot summary lacks in many details and probably doesn’t make a lot of sense but the film itself lacks a lot of details and doesn’t make a lot of sense. I think this film is absolutely worth checking as it is one of those things that is so bad it is good. If you take this film seriously you won’t enjoy it, but for a funny and outrageous cult classic it doesn’t get much better than this.
